Chutmas party!

Dearly beloved ladies!

Christmas and Chutney make a glorious combination if you ask us.

To commemorate it, Jane of the Bag Lady Variety has kindly opened her doors to host us. Trek your way over to 474 Pall Mall (at Maitland) on Sunday, December 19th, 2010 for 11:30am... let's stay warm and make music til we get booted out!

This being a celebration of Chutney at the time of giving, we thought it might be nice if everybody brought a home-made jar of real delicious chutney to auction off; suggestions are welcome in regards to where the proceeds should find a home.

Unfortunately, the Shackleton's auctioneer is busy that day- Carla, we thought you might be the one for the job?!

Bring all your instruments, your friends who want to come but never do, your families, your brunch-appetites, and your poodles too!

Christmas and Chutney go hand in hand.

I know this might come as a surprise but get this-

Badgerland Records needs us!

Check out this amazing netlabel and then immediately go hog-wild and create all the Christmas music you can.

So:
1.  Go to http://badgerland.ca
2.  Pour yourself a glass of egg nog
3.  Get ANY sort of recording equipment you can find (the more original, the better!)
4.  Record a cover or an original tune that abounds in Christmas cheer
5.  Submit this delightful treasure by December the tenth, two thousand and ten.

Merry music making to all.

Take heed!

Music. What is it, but a gift for sharing? The fact of the matter is that it's a healthy thing for us and the world we live in.  Healthy to both partake and offer in turn.

Notice above how the Ingenues serenade the cows at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Dairy Barn, proving that cows give more milk while listening to the soothing strains of their music.

As lady-musicians, we'd like to take some initiative, and what we'd REALLY like is to get more lady-musicians on board. We want to see lady-musicians making music with other lady-musicians; lady-musicians learning from each other and giving parts of themselves and well, hell, just plumb enjoying themselves in time and melody.

Chutney Sessions happen on an as-regular-as-possible basis.  at the humble abodes of different ladies, on any given night.  Check out the schedule for the next evening!

We'd like to invite any lady who falls into any of the following categories to join in on the plan:

The Lovers of Music
The Lovers of Learning
The Lovers of Eating
The Lovers of Teaching
The Lovers of Sharing
The Lovers of Leading
The Bold, and The Scairdy-Cats
The Lovers of Old Tradition
The Lovers of New Tradition

We best be seein you soon!
